This wonderful summer fiesta was held in June of 2008. This truly showed the spirit and commitment of the local wiffleball community. The tournament was started at Victoria Island with a 5 shot salute to Ryan Skalnek for his absence. A torch relay and O'doul's drinking continued via pontoon boat to the playing field. After arriving the National Anthem was headlined by Allison Combs and the dreamgirls. Starting lineups were announce and the new trophy was unveiled to the hungry eyes of the competitors. Draft night was very successful with many competitors dressed in their professional attire. The highlight of the draft was Jim and Steve being reunited with a chance to repeat as champions. The tournament proceeded the next day after hurricance-like rains and winds on draft night. Team 3 and 4 played in the championship game which came down to the last at bat with 2 outs and bases loaded, tie game. Steve Cullen hit the game winning homerun to earn himself another championship and MVP honors.

This tournament was highlighted also by a plethora of girls in bikinis, 4 kegs, lots of food, and an amazing post game celebration.
